Red Sox Offense Turns "Sho-Down" Into "Throw-Down", Roll Over Halos, 10-1

Mookie Betts is apparently over that sore foot thing. The Red Sox right-fielder hit three HRs—the first to lead off the game against Shohei Ohtani—as Boston rolled to a "rocking-chair" 10-1 victory over the Angels. So much for the 'Clash Of The Titans'. The Carmine Hose powered out six home runs—one each by Brock Holt, Jackie Bradley, Jr., and Rafael Devers in addition to Mookie's three. Betts was on-base in all five plate appearances—walking twice for 14 total bases on the night. Holt had three RBIs on his 2-5 night, when he was inserted at SS by manager Alex Cora. JBJ was 3-5 with two RBIs. David Price pitched five solid innings—giving up just one earned run on three hits for his second victory of 2018. The lefty struck out six, but had some control issues that resulted in four walks. A national TV audience on MLB Network was appropriately schooled as to which team is currently at the top of the AL heap. It is your Boston Red Sox.
