Red Sox Announce 'Improvements' To Fenway Park, But We'll Be The Judge

(FenwayNation Photo)
In the run-up to the Home Opener on Thursday, the Red Sox have announced a series of "improvements" to 106-year-old Fenway Park. Mostly, the new stuff centers around extended safety netting—which now goes beyond the dugouts on both the first- and third-base sides. There are also new seating options—most notably the "Jim Beam Dugout" with its field-level group seating area just beyond the Red Sox dugout. Tickets are sold on a game-by-game basis. Also, new food concessions are touted, and one really caught our attention. It's our view that the best Pizza on earth (or at least north of New York City) is Regina's Pizzeria in Boston's North End. Starting this year, fans get chow down on "specialty" pizza from Regina's (which probably really means "wicked over-priced"). Still, this is a very good upgrade. No more rubbery Papa Gino's slices to deal with. There are a bunch of other "new" features that you can read about in detail HERE.
