Former Sox IF Jed Lowrie Turns 34-Years-Old Today, Still Productive For A's

In case you haven't noticed, former Red Sox infielder Jed Lowrie is raking this year. He has the most hits in the American League (23) and is batting a robust .348 with 4 HRS and 14 RBIs for the Oakland A's. Today, Lowrie turns 34 years-old. He was drafted by Boston in the first round of the 2005 MLB Draft (#45 overall) and played four seasons with The Carmine Hose. Over that span, Lowrie hit .252 with 19 HRs and 117 RBIs. It was his versatility, though, that made him a valuable asset during his stay in Boston—playing everywhere in the infield and playing well. We wish Jed continued success in 2018 (except when playing his old club) and a very happy birthday.
