Jarrod Saltalamacchia signed a minor league deal with the Detroit Tigers—a team he played for in 2016. Salty will have a hard time cracking the Tabby catching line-up—with
James McCann, John Hicks,
Derek Norris and
Brayan Pena ahead of him in the queue. Salty spent four seasons in Boston—hitting .243 with 55 HRs. He was an important part of the 2013 World Series Championship team. We wish Salty the best of luck 'catching on' in
