According to a report by
Evan Drellich of T
he Boston Herald,
new Red Sox manager
Alex Cora had
a shouting incident on the Astro team bus with a broadcaster
and manager
A.J. Hinch. Reportedly, Cora had been drinking on the bus and, when told to turn down his music by broadcaster
Geoff Blum, he erupted in a stream of expletives. When manager Hinch tried to intervene, Cora poured his invective on him as well. Said Cora of the incident,
"People have disagreements. Sometimes it’s about life, sometimes it’s about the game. The good thing is that you work with people that you respect, and they respect you. You move on and you learn from it and you keep getting better." On a team that had its share of discord last season (even some between players and the media), it will be interesting to see how Cora handles things.
