REPORT: Sox Out Of Giancarlo Trade Loop For 2 Weeks

According to Sean McAdam of BostonSportsJournal.com, the Red Sox have not been "engaged" in Giancarlo Stanton trade talks for two weeks—since they made a general proposal at the GM meetings. Again, it appears that Derek Jeter is asking for the moon—a bevy of top prospects and the acquiring team "eating" most or all of the $295 million left on Stanton's contract. That is—and should—be a non-starter for Dave Dombrowski. This report plays into the growing mountain of evidence that Stanton will never be a member of The Carmine Hose.
