The Editors of
FenwayNation have named
Rafael Devers as their
2017 Rookie Of The Year. While
Andrew Benintendi is still eligible for the
MLB Rookie Of The Year balloting, he was selected by FenwayNation
last year as the
2016 Rookie Of The Year. The 20-year-old Devers had a solid campaign after coming up to the big club—hitting .284 over 58 games with the Red Sox. He slugged 10 HRs, 14 doubles and 30 RBIs. Devers slugged at a .482 pace and ended with an impressive .819 OPS.
