Today marks an important milestone for the
2017 FenwayNation Rookie Of The Year,
Rafael Devers. The kid turns 21-years-old
today. It's hard to believe that Devers only made his MLB debut last July 25th.
"Raffy Big Stick" (as he is known in the Boston clubhouse) already has a 1.3 WAR (whatever the hell that means, but we
think it's good)—plus he hit .284 with 10 HRs and 30 RBIs in just 58 games last season (we
know that's good). Now, when the Red Sox pop the bubbly around this time next October, Devers can
legally guzzle it down with some of his new teammates—you know,
Giancarlo Stanton,
J.D. Martinez and
Eric Hosmer. Happy birthday, Raffy!
