Red Sox Take Two-"Fister" To The Jaw, Fall To Tribe, 7-3

To paraphrase Pulp Fiction's Winston Wolfe, "Let's not start polishing up the Duck Boats quite yet." In a rude shock to the 'invulnerability' of the 2017 Carmine Hose, the Indians laid a haymaker on the AL East division leader, 7-3. Edwin Encarnacion went yard twice with two-run shots and Trevor Bauer struck out 11 in just 6.2 innings. Doug Fister was the guy we thought we were getting: five runs over 4.1 innings in a miserable outing. Lost in the loss were two more HRs by new phenom Rafael Devers and another majestic shot by Andrew Benintendi. No matter, a loss is a loss—and now the division lead is down to 4.5 games.
