Sale Brilliant Again In 7-1 Sox Win In Great White North

Chris Sale, pretty much solidifying his right to start the All-Star Game on July 11th, secured his 11th win in a 7-1 win at Toronto. On our neighbor nation's Canada Day, the elite lefty exercised "dominion" over his northern foes—going seven solid innings, allowing no runs and striking out eleven. He lowered his ERA to 2.61 on the year. The on-again-off-again Red Sox offense clearly flipped the "ON"switch today—cranking out 12 hits. Leading the way were: Hanley Ramirez (3-5, 1 R), Dustin Pedroia (1-4, 2 RBIs), Jackie Bradley, Jr., (1-5, 2 RBIs) and Xander Bogaerts (1-4, 3 RBIs). Deven Marrero, Sandy Leon and Chris Young each had 2-hit games as well.
