Chris Sale Will Start Tuesday's ASG For American League

It's official. Red Sox ace Chris Sale will start for the American League All-Stars in Tuesday night's game in Miami. Sale thus becomes the first pitcher ever to start back-to-back All-Star games representing two different teams. He started the 2016 game as a member of the Chicago White Sox. The Boston lefty will face National League starter Max Scherzer. So far this season, Sale is 11-4 with a 2.75 ERA. Scherzer has gone 10-5 with a 2.10 ERA for the Washington Nationals this season. In addition to Sale, The Carmine Hose will be represented by starting RF starter Mookie Betts and closer Craig Kimbrel. The game is Tuesday, July 11th at 8PM Eastern on the FOX broadcast network.
