He homered, stole his third base of the year and threw a guy out trying to steal third. Oh, and he also called a terrific game for suddenly good Drew Pomeranz in Boston's 9-2 victory over the Twinkies. We're talking about Red Sox backstop Christian Vazquez who pretty much covered all the bases for The Carmine Hose. Late in the contest, Chris Young launched a "lights-out" three-run HR that got Minnesota thinking about Game Three of the series tonight. Pomeranz went five solid innings (interrupted by two rain delays), giving up only four hits and no earned runs. The lefty struck out seven and walked none. Dustin Pedroia collected three hits, while Xander Bogaerts went 2-4. The win boosted the Red Sox into sole possession of first place in the AL East—as The Bronx Embalmers blew a ninth-inning lead in The Windy City.
