Fister Decent In Debut, Bats Fall Silent In 4-2 Sox Loss

Doug Fister probably would have had his first Red Sox win if a second-inning double-play weren't called back on review. As it was, three runs scored after the changed call, and Boston's offense limped to a 4-2 loss to the Angels. Solo home runs by Mitch Moreland and Jackie Bradley, Jr. were the only real offensive moments in the game—as Fister went 6.2 innings for the loss. Boston stayed in a virtual tie for first place in the AL East thanks to the tenth loss in the last twelve games by The Bronx Embalmers.
