Get used to it—Red Sox players "tipping their caps" to opponents who just beat them. Last night, it was
Matt Barnes who gave the kudos to
Joe Mauer—who walked-off the
UConn Huskie in
the 4-3 Twinkie win. It was another
Raiders Of The Lost Offense night—until
Chris Young's two-run pinch-hit tied it at 3-3 in the top of the ninth. Then, the bullpen that (for some reason) every analyst praises, let the team down
again. This was another stinker of a loss for a team that is essentially a .500 ballclub. Again, get used to this, Sox fans. They're just not that good.
