Red Sox Eyeing Trade For Pale Hose Quintana & Frazier?

It's pretty clear that the Red Sox have deficits in the starting rotation and at third base. This has sparked trade rumors suggesting that Dave Dombrowski may be in the market for two more Chicago White Sox players—starter Jose Quintana and third baseman Todd Frazier. So far this year, Quintana, yet another lefty, is 2-5 with a 4.38 ERA—but he did deliver six scoreless innings on Sunday. Frazier is hitting a pathetic .173 this season—and is only a .248 career hitter. However, he hit 40 HRs in 2016 and 35 HRs in 2015. Quintana is under a very team-friendly contract through 2020. So, any trade would exact another big hit on the Red Sox farm system. One assumes that losing a third baseman would compel Chicago to look for someone like Rafael Devers, Michael Chavis or Bobby Dalbec (in addition to other prospects). Stay tuned!
