Another Dumb MLB Deal: Now With 'Game Of Thrones'

Somehow, Red Sox honcho Tom Werner had to be involved in this debacle. Instead of focusing on growing the game itself, Major League Baseball is 'partnering' with HBO to do "cross-promotional" junk regarding the network's Game Of Thrones show. We're sure that the dunderheads in the MLB office think this will raise their visibility with Millennials. No, promoting Millennial stars like Bryce Harper, Mike Trout, Jose Altuve and Giancarlo Stanton will raise awareness with that crowd. Typically, MLB is three or four years behind the curve with this silliness. Nineteen of the thirty MLB teams will participate in this lunacy—and, of course, your Carmine Hose are one of them. Too bad The Cosby Show didn't flop—all of this might have gotten out of Tom's system by now.
