This is
really bad news—
especially on
Eduardo Rodriguez. Four Red Sox will play in the completely moronic (and injury-generating) World Baseball Classic. They are:
E-Rod for Venezuela;
Hanley Ramirez and
Fernando Abad for the Dominican Republic;
Xander Bogaerts for the Netherlands. Rodriguez was
supposedly still recovering from a debilitating knee injury he suffered last season—so why is he in this dumb tournament? Get ready for some bad news when this ridiculous event starts on March 6th.
