POLL: A Two-Man Race For 'Most Disappointing' Player

Early results to our latest FenwayNation Poll show that there are really only two contenders for the inaugural Eric Gagne Most Disappointing Player Award. As the table shows, those two are: Rusney Castillo at 43% and Fernando Abad at 28%. One astute reader pointed out that the odds-on winner would have been Pablo Sandoval—if he were included in the poll. Probably true—but brutally unfair as well. Sandoval had all of six at-bats in 2016, and was a non-factor from the get-go. This poll was intended to measure disappointing performance. Anyway, after the two leaders, we find Yoan Moncada at 12%, Henry Owens and Christian Vazquez at 5% each, Roenis Elias at 3% and Aaron Hill at 2%. You can still vote in the poll HERE.
