Porcello And Red Sox Vault Into First Place, Win 11-2

The Red Sox offense comes to Oakland, it's like a kid in candy store. The now first-place Carmine Hose unloaded on A's pitching again—scoring early and often in an eventual 11-2 win. Rick Porcello tossed another gem—carrying a perfect game into the sixth inning. He ended up going seven innings for his 19th win of the year. The offense was paced by David Ortiz (3-4, 2 RBIs), Mookie Betts (1-4, 2 RBIs)—and pretty much the whole roster. Super Phenom Yoan 'YoMo' Moncada got his first major league hit and RBI. Hanley Ramirez powered his 20th HR (a laser to left) and now has 88 RBIs. The first-place Sox are no-doubt salivating for their final match-up with the Awful A's this afternoon.
