Betts & Bogaerts Power Sox 6-5 Comeback Over Empire

They were down 3-0 in an ineffective David Price start, and things looked bleak. Then, the vaunted Red Sox 'Comeback Machine' went into high gear. After Boston crept closer (3-2), Price gave back two more runs. Hey, no problem, they were down 5-2 on Thursday! A two-run HR by Xander Bogaerts, tightened things and then Mookie Betts singled to tie the game at five each. Betts then scampered home with the game-winner on a wild pitch. Hanley Ramirez also had three more hits. The bullpen again saved the day—with Craig Kimbrel getting a four-out save with four strikeouts in the eventual 6-5 win. The win guarantees at least a two-game lead in the AL East—and pushes The Evil Ones to seven games back.
