Pitching Again Fails Red Sox In 10-4 Drubbing By Royals

'It's the pitching, stupid!' If James Carville were a sports writer, that would be his observation on the 2016 Red Sox. Powered by the most potent offense in baseball, it's the arms that have most often failed The Carmine Hose this season—despite a recent great run of starting pitching. This time, both starter Eduardo Rodriguez and reliever Matt Barnes were the culprits—opening the floodgates for an 8-run 6th inning. The eventual 10-4 loss dropped Boston 2 games back of the lead in the AL East. The one highlight of the night was David Ortiz's 31st HR of the year.
