Yoan Moncada: I'm Willing To Switch Positions In Show

What do you do when your #1 prospect (and, for that matter, the #1 prospect in all of baseball) plays the same position as your de facto Captain? That's the issue facing the Red Sox as second-baseman Yoan Moncada rockets through the minor leagues on his way to Fenway. Conceivably, the 21-year old Cuban could arrive on Yawkey Way in September of this year. After all, he's tearing up AA since his arrival—.328 average, 5 HRs, 15 RBIs, 4 SBs in just 16 games. And, in the wake of his MVP performance in the All-Star Futures Game, Moncada made it clear that he'd be willing to switch positions to accommodate incumbent legend Dustin Pedroia. Good move, kid! So, down the stretch this Fall, you may occasionally see Yoan at 3B or in LF.
