Royals Deliver White House Snub To Jonny Gomes

Gomes At White House In 2014
We all remember when Jonny Gomes represented the 2013 World Series Champion Boston Red Sox at the White House. Who could forget his American Flag sport coat and rousing remarks? Well, "Mr. Good Luck Charm" did it again in 2015—riding the Kansas City Royals wave into another World Series Championship. This time, however, Gomes will not get a chance to schmooze with President Barack Obama. The Royals have left Gomes off of the invitation list when they visit the Executive Mansion to celebrate their win. Gomes—as you might imagine—is heart-broken, "I've been sent down. I've been non-tendered, whatever. But this is probably the worst news of my professional baseball career." Pretty classless of the World Champs, don't you think?
