Papi Leads All MLB Jersey Sales At Mid-Point Of 2016

MLB communications today announced that Red Sox DH David Ortiz is number one in player jersey sales in all of major league baseball at the half-way point of the 2016 season. Big Papi leads a star-studded list that includes much younger players. Just behind Ortiz in second place is Kris Bryant, followed by Clayton Kershaw, former Red Sox property Anthony Rizzo, Mike Trout, Buster Posey, Jake Arrieta, Yadier Molina, Bryce Harper and Noah Syndergaard. At age 40, the next youngest player to Ortiz on the list is 33-year old Molina—while the average of the other nine players is 27.
