'Wright' Down The Middle: Sox Back In First, Win, 6-4

This is the performance that may implant the following thought in the minds of Red Sox fans: "Steven Wright is our ace." Wright (who now owns the most wins on the team) went 7 1/3 solid innings last night in an eventual 6-4 win for Boston. The victory propelled The Carmine Hose back into a first-place tie with the Orioles. Wright's cause was greatly aided by a monstrous three-run HR by Hanley Ramirez—which at the time opened up a 6-0 advantage. Five Red Sox players had multiple hit games: David Ortiz, Xander Bogaerts, Dustin Pedroia, Mookie Betts and Ramirez. Again, offense is not the problem on this club—consistently good starting pitching is the problem. Something you don't really have to worry about with Wright on the hill.
