Red Sox center-fielder
Jackie Bradley, Jr. was today named the American League Player Of The Month for May. It is the first time a Red Sox player has won the honor since
Dustin Pedroia did in July of 2011. Bradley, of course, had the fourth-longest hitting streak in Red Sox history during the month—29 games. He also hit .381 during May, clouted eight HRs and knocked in 24 RBIs. The 26-year-old star is currently on paternity leave—as he and his wife are awaiting the birth of their first child. Congratulations on
both fronts, JBJ!
