He struck out eleven. At one point in the game, he retired 19 Oriole hitters in a row. And yet, David Price's eight-inning effort could not get his team a win in a 3-2 loss at Fenway last night. Baltimore pitching was solid as well—but the vaunted Boston offense let the Orioles off the hook on several occasions—stranding runners like they were on a three-hour tour (note to Millennials: don't bother trying to figure out this last reference). The bottom line is that "aces" win games like this. On the bright side, Jackie Bradley, Jr. clouted his 11th HR deep into the CF bleachers on a 0-2 slider. That's about all the good news—as The Carmine Hose have fallen out of first place.
