David Price had a career-tying 14 strikeouts in eight solid innings and
Travis Shaw knocked in five runs (including a mammoth 3-run HR), as the Red Sox
laid waste to the feeble Braves, 11-4. Price gave up six hits and walked just two to gain his third win of the year. Shaw put Boston on top in the first with a jaw-dropping, nearly 500-foot HR. Also having big offensive nights were:
Xander Bogaerts (3-5, RBI, 2 runs scored) and
Dustin Pedroia (2-4, RBI, 2 runs scored). Boston returns home tonight to complete the dumb "hone-and-home" series with Atlanta.
