After dropping switch-hitting early last season,
Pablo Sandoval will resume hitting from both sides of the plate in 2016. Said Manager
John Farrell,
"He's revamped his right-handed swing. And for those who are familiar with what that looked like last year, I think you'll see a difference when he gets here." The Panda has reportedly lost about 20 pounds in the off-season—although that's hard to verify since he won't arrive in Fort Myers until Saturday. Sandoval hit just .245 last year (along with a pathetic .292 OBP and just 10 HRs). If he can raise his average and on-base percentage, and show
better than 10-HR power, it could do wonders for the Sox lineup.
