Red Sox Claim Three Of Top-25 Worst MLB Contracts

The Red Sox have scooped up many positive accolades this Winter—winning the off-season, having a bevy of Top Prospects, getting picked to win it all—but this one is a stinker. ESPN.com has evaluated the Top 25 Worst MLB Contracts—and your 2016 Carmine Hose have three of them (that's 12% of the total for the cipher-impaired). The dubious winners are: # 6—Pablo Sandoval (5 years, $95 million); #10 Hanley Ramirez (4 years, $88 million) and #21 Rusney Castillo (7 years, $72.5 million). Of course, if these three perform back to expectation in 2016, we could truly go all the way. Hey, we'd take one of them pulling their weight (no pun intended).
