ESPN Ranks Red Sox Farm System As 10th In MLB

ESPN.com's Keith Law has ranked the Red Sox Farm System as 10th in all of baseball—after ranking them 5th last year. Most of the drop is due to promotions of key talent—although the trade for Craig Kimbrel cost the team a potential elite player in Manuel Margot. Even with the lower evaluation, the Sox still have the top-ranked minor league system in the AL East—and the third best in the entire American League. For perspective, The Bronx Embalmers' system is ranked 13th, the Rays 14th, the Blue Jays 25th and the Orioles 27th.
