Dave Dombrowski will not have unlimited patience with his $88 million player. Said Dombrowski recently,
"We're going to go into it with the idea that we're open-minded with all the guys and not just him. You're looking on the positive aspect of it and you're looking at adjustments as you go along." Exactly what those "adjustments" would be is unclear—it could range from a bargain basement trade to a shift back to the OF to who knows what? This could get ugly.
