Daniel Nava Slated For LF Platooning Duties With Halos

Daniel Nava
Former Red Sox cult hero Daniel Nava may be getting more playing time this year than most expected. Signed by the Angels last December ($1.375 million, one-year), it looked like Nava would simply be outfield insurance at the AAA level. Now, it appears that the just-turned 33-year old will get pretty significant time platooning in left-field with Craig Gentry. As we all know, the switch-hitting Nava has done well against right-handed pitching in his career (.281) and has also had a penchant for the big hit. We wish Daniel all the best with the Los Angeles, Orange County, California, United States of America, Western Hemisphere, Earth, Solar System, Milky Way Angels of Anaheim.
