MLB Opens Door To China With Live Streaming Games
MLB has inked a three-year deal to live stream games to China. Starting with the 2016 season, four regular season games per week will be available—along with the All-Star Game, Home Run Derby, playoff games and every World Series contest. Said MLB VP Eric Mika: "If ping pong brought China and America closer together, imagine what baseball will do". The fact that Commissioner Rob Manfred made the historic announcement at the high-visibility Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas demonstrates the importance he places on the initiative.
