One of the highlights of the last Thursday night's baseball writers dinner in Boston was the "Good Guy" award given to former Red Sox play-by-play man Don Orsillo. The new Padre broadcaster took the opportunity to further tweak his long-time buddy (and antagonist) Terry Francona. After thanking multiple people for helping him through his firing (including former Red Sox CEO Larry Lucchino and Yankee manager Joe Girardi), he mentioned these "kind" words passed along by the Indians manager: "I’m shocked that it took 15 years to figure out that you sucked." Hey, what are friends for?
