the Red Sox have—in fact—traded Wade Miley to the Seattle Mariners. In addition to Miley, the Red Sox sent
Jonathan Aro to the Mariners—and got pitchers
Carson Smith and
Roenis Elias in return. Smith, a 26-year old right-handed reliever, saved 13 games last year for the Mariners—posting a 2.31 ERA. He gave up just 49 hits in 70 innings pitched. The 27-year old Elias started 20 games for Seattle last year—going 5-8 with a 4.14 ERA.
