Red Sox Hero Dave Roberts Is The New Dodger Manager

His stolen base in Game Four of the 2004 ALCS turned the tide for the eventual World Series Champions of that year. Dave Roberts now faces a new challenge—manager of the Los Angeles Dodgers. Roberts had been a finalist for the job along with another former Carmine Hoser from that year—Gabe Kapler. In his 45 games with the Red Sox, Roberts hit .256 with 5 stolen bases. Earlier in 2004, he swiped 33 bases for the Dodgers. Of course, the biggest steal of his life came against Mariano Rivera. We wish Dave all the best!
