For the third time this season, the editors of
FenwayNation have named
shared 'Player Of The Month' honorees.
David Ortiz and
Jackie Bradley, Jr. have been named
co-winners of the title for the month of August.
Both players hit over .350, both slugged over .730 and both posted an OPS over 1.160. Ortiz hit .352, with 9 HRs, 8 doubles and 22 RBIs. Bradley, Jr. hit .354, with 5 HRs, 9 doubles, 3 triples, 23 runs scored, 3 stolen bases and 23 RBIs. Both players played in 26 games during August.
