Multiple reports now suggest that new Red Sox President of Baseball Operations
Dave Dmobrowski will hire former Braves executive Frank Wren as the new Boston GM. Dombrowski's reputation is as a 'big picture trader', while Wren is characterized as more of a day-to-day operations guy—so this combination makes sense. Wren is probably more likely to be OK with a diminished GM role—unlike the departing
Ben Cherington. All in all, this is probably a good secondary move. Stay tuned, other shoes are
