No Red Sox, No 'Evil Ones' As All-Star Starters

There was a time when the American League All-Star team was peppered with pinstripes and Carmine Hose. For example, ten years ago, in 2005, Alex Rodriguez joined Manny Ramirez, David Ortiz, Johnny Damon and Jason Varitek as All-Star starters. No longer. Not one AL starter in next week's Midsummer Classic will hail from Boston or New York (even though Mark Teixeira is filling the injured Miguel Cabrera's roster spot, Albert Pujols will start at first base). Signs and wonders.
