It wasn't exactly a
bold prediction, but Red Sox catcher
Ryan Hanigan (a native of Andover, Mass.) knows a little about horse racing. He picked Triple Crown winner
American Pharaoh to win
before the big Belmont Stakes race on Saturday. As pointed out by
MassLive.com's Christoper Smith,
Hanigan has a horse breeding business and owns several horses. Hanigan is on the DL rehabbing a broken knuckle, so he doesn't have much free time to focus on other sports. But, in this case, he went with the eventual winner.
