Farrell Sticking By Victorino As Opening Day RF

Victorino (L); Castillo (R)
Despite fan sentiment strongly favoring Rusney Castillo, manager John Farrell today all but handed the starting right field job (again) to Shane Victorino. Said Farrell, "The biggest thing to me was health. Getting back to close to 100 percent of what Shane Victorino is. He's an impact player and myself included we haven't forgotten what he's done for us." So, Castillo likely heads down to AAA—despite an increasingly hot spring offensively and defensively. Victorino is hitting .171 so far in Grapefruit League action.
