New Red Sox acquisition
Yoan Moncada was spotted walking into the Red Sox Spring Training complex in Fort Myers this morning. The 19-year old Cuban phenom—who seems a
lot smaller than 6'1"—was at
jetBlue Park to get a physical before the official announcement of his signing. According to
WEEI.com's Rob Bradford, Moncada was accompanied by his agent
David Hastings, and Boston's assistant international scouting director
Gus Quattlebaum. The switch-hitter will report to camp on March 2nd.
