According to our latest FenwayNation Poll, readers can't quite decide whether the 71 wins or the signings of Hanley Ramirez and Pablo Sandoval was the top Red Sox story of 2014. As the chart shows, 27% choose the signings—just one percentage point (26%) above those picking the low win total. One-fifth of our voting sample (20%) said Brock Holt's performance topped the list—exactly the same percentage (20%) who chose Jon Lester's signing by the Cubs.
