Former Red Sox World Series hero
Jonny Gomes has signed a one-year, $4 million contract with the Atlanta Braves (formerly, of course, the Boston Braves). The pact also includes a $3 million vesting option for 2016—but, since Gomes would never
wear a vest, this seems moot. The 34-year old free-spirit can still hit lefties, so he's likely to see a lot of platoon time for the Bravos. We wish him all the best!
