UPDATE: Surgery details Red Sox first baseman Mike Napoli will have surgery to alleviate a sleep apnea condition he has dealt with his whole career. The procedure will happen in early November allowing him to recover in time for Spring Training. Napoli texted the following, "I've been dealing with sleep apnea for a long time, my whole career, I've tried numerous things and none of them worked. Dental mouth piece, CPAP machine, medicines. It's just gotten to the point where I have to get this done." Napoli suffered a series of injuries in 2014 that hampered his offensive production.
