'Fan Appreciation Month' Better Be REAL Good

The Red Sox announced the kick-off of Fan Appreciation Month today—but it's questionable whether any fans will appreciate their efforts. According to the official team news release, events will include: players greeting fans at selected gates, players randomly tossing baseballs to the crowd, and players taking photos with fans on the field. Wow, those must have really put a dent in John Henry's wallet! Unfortunately, there was no mention of lower ticket prices for 2015—or better yet rebates for this year's Little League-level product on the field. Oh well, they'll probably win it all again next year.
