According to
ESPN.com's Jerry Crasnick,
the Kansas City Royals are interested in a trade with the Red Sox to acquire Jonny Gomes. The Royals are in need of a right-handed bat as they make a push for the post-season in the AL Central. Currently, Kansas City is in second place behind Detroit—6.5 games out of first and 2.5 games out of an
AL Wild Card berth. Interestingly, the Royals come into to Fenway Park on Friday night—so stay tuned!
