According to
CBSSports.com's Jon Heyman,
the Dodgers and Cardinals are leading the pack in the Jon Lester Sweepstakes. Heyman also states that these same two teams are the most aggressive in pursuit of
David Price—which
might lessen the haul that comes back for each lefty. Of course, the Rays are
sort of legitimate contenders for the post-season, and may keep Price. The 2014 Red Sox on the other hand, are, well, the 2014 Red Sox. The Pirates—and their bevy of minor league OF prospects—seem to be third in line for Lester. A deal could come at any moment today, so stay tuned!
