As Expected, Sizemore Era Comes To An End

The handwriting was on the wall for a while. The Musical Chairs Outfield needed one victim. Today, that victim was Grady Sizemore, who was designated for assignment by the Red Sox. In Spring Training, it seemed like Sizemore was The Signing Bargain Of The Century. Then, the reality of more than two years out of baseball began to set in. Grady hit just .216 in Carmine Hose and never regained the form that made him one of the best players in all of baseball. It was a good experiment, but, ultimately, it was flawed.
